Exams & Pop Quizes
The tests that God applies in our life (in the form of challenges and troubles) are exams and pop quizzes to show us what we know and what do not know (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+corinthians+13%3A5-7&version=ESV). They are not punishments but rather they are tools to help us in our growth journey. They are designed (by Him) to show us clearly what we know (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James+1%3A2-4&version=AMP) so that we continue to be strengthened in pursuit of those (God’s) things and/or to pivot from those things that should not be in or be a priority in of our life (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+corinthians+10%3A12-13&version=MSG). When these tests show us what do not know, it is a prompting to find out through God’s Word and our prayer life and be taught and shown (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+7%3A24-27&version=NLT). God’s actions (in our life) are never wasteful, and they will always serve His purposes (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+46%3A9-10&version=GNT) of bringing us closer to Him (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Peter+3%3A8-9&version=AMP); honing us to be more like Jesus in thoughts, words, and actions; and to fulfill our life’s mission in His plans for others that He puts in our life and/or we are put in theirs.
