The Power of Words
Words come from the heart and the words that are spoken matter. They reflect what/who lives in my heart for the heart is an idol factory that will produce other idols when I am at the helm. I am to be the foreman of my heart and God is to be the factory President in charge of the factory and He is to direct, instruct, and influence the foreman (me). The words I speak, the words I use, and the words that I think of are the products of my heart “factory.” God’s Word (the Scripture) serves as the Quality Control Manager for my heart “factory”; the Holy Spirit serves as the Production Manager to assist the foreman (me); and Jesus serves as the Service Manager to deal with the warranty issues and challenges. Therefore, I must be mindful on who my production crew is for my heart “factory.”
Words matter!
· Be careful with your words. Once they are said, they can be only forgiven, not forgotten.
· Words can inspire. And words can destroy. Choose yours well.
· Our words have power. They impact others, but they also impact us.
