Combatting Negativity

God is love and love’s love language is gratefulness and gratitude.   To show love is to show gratitude.  To speak love is to speak gratefulness.  For every complaint and for every negative word and thought, speak a reason to be grateful and thankful.  Speak it to God as my provider and protector.  Speak it to others as a path and means to love other.  Speak it to myself to align my priorities which are not the complaints and the negativities of this life/world.  To stop the complaining requires speaking gratitude; for the mouth cannot speak both at the same time.  To stop the negative thinking, requires grateful thinking of what I have and what I have received from Him so that the mind is filled with who God is (to me) and who I am to God (His beloved) (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Thessalonians+5%3A+16-18&version=MSG).  Bring the complaints to God but also bring the positive things in my life for a fair and balanced conversation (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+2%3A14-15&version=AMPC).  There are more things to be thankful for than what we can complain about (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians+3%3A17&version=NABRE).  The thing in front of us (either complaint or thankfulness) will fill the view that we have in front of us and sets the tone of our thought process; our feelings; and our outlook.  Pick one that is going help advance you forward.  I pick thankfulness!
