IT MATTERS
The essence of sin is not believing that God exists but that He matters. It gives overconfidence to our thoughts, words, and actions by allowing them to operate with indifference toward God as a form of self-conceit and self-deception. A self-conceit and self-deception not to feel a need for God to be part of your thoughts, words and actions. It is therefore, imperative that we are not casual in our thoughts, words and actions for they will be prone to lean towards the essence of sin. Instead be purposeful and intentional in them to incline our heart to God as the most important thing. To move our anchor point for our daily living from self to God - from indifference to God to God being the difference in our daily living. To believing that God not only exists and is alive but that He matters in all my thoughts, words and actions.
