Breathing
Breathing is imperative for physical living but breathing is also imperative for spiritual eternal living. There is life of breath (our ability to breathe to live) but also the breath of life (God’s very breath on and in our lives in the form of salvation through Jesus). In scripture, it speaks over and over again that God used breath for creating and gifting. Of all the things that He could have used in His omnipotence He chose breath. He could have just waved His hand or for that matter just made it happen without any gesture to initiate it. That was not by accident that He used breath. It is because His breath contains His very spirit. He breathed out His very Spirit to create heaven and earth and man (https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/Genesis/2/7). He breathes out His very Spirit to come live in us when we accept the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. He breathed out his very Spirit to lead the writings of the Scriptures (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Timothy%203:16&version=NIV). He put breath in our lungs as His creation in His image and He spends our lifetime pursuing us to have Him breathe His Spirit in us when we accept salvation. A Spirit breathed into us (in the form of the Holy Spirit) that lives in us to be with us for the balance of our lifetime for eternal life (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2020%3A22&version=TLB). That is the life found and gifted by living with Jesus the breath of life. Both breaths being gifts of God. Only made complete when both are in place. A life of breath alone will have an end but the breath of life has no end. Thank you Father for giving me the life of breath and in addition offering me as an eternal gift, the breath of life (Jesus).
