WHO TO DEPEND ON
Dependence on God and staying in His presence are essential for my life’s journey. Anything that hinders this creates a reliance on myself and worldly things. This includes worldly worries, fears, doubts, and pride. In these areas, our emotions deceive us, and our hearts lead us astray, preventing us from relying on God and being in His presence. We can only recognize this stark contrast when we rely on God and are in His presence. Otherwise, our emotions and hearts align with the world, appearing falsely congruent with what is true and right. The world is divisive, driven by fear, and self-centered, while God’s world is filled with grace, mercy, and an other-centered perspective. These are the two opposing dependences that we face daily and must choose in our daily walk.
