THE REASON FOR PURPOSE

All that we have and all that we do is meaningless if it does not serve our Father - God.   Our life (breath in our lungs), our work (vocation), our finances, our family, etc are all from God so they are designed to serve God [read Romans 11:36].  They were and are not designed to be used for selfish purposes which is our flesh nature.  It is only when we understand that all we have is God’s doing through our talents, our situations, and/or through others that  we embrace the concept that God is the source of it all [read John 1:3]. In our flesh nature, we are more inclined to take the credit for our doing as though we did it on our own.  With a God perspective for all that I have and do, I am more inclined to be giving and servant based because I accept that it was all done, given, and achieved through God, the Master of the Universe [read Deuteronomy 10:14].  A multitude of studies have proven that people that have a purpose are more efficient, more successful, have greater work ethic, are healthier, et al [read Jeremiah 29:11].  Those things are amplified when their purpose is much bigger than them.  There is no greater and larger purpose than Jesus which amplifies my purpose to serve God in my thoughts, words and actions in all that I do and all that I have [read Colossians 3:23-24].  It makes all that I do and have meaningful [read Colossians 1:16].
