Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Slow and steady wins the race (of life). We tend to be in a hurry and want immediate results. Just like you cannot rush a cake to cook any faster in the oven, our life is meant to unfold patiently through slow and steady progress. Hurry leads to inconsistency due to the chaotic and frantic cadence of such pursuits. God has already determined the outcome(s) and how we pace our race (life) will determine, not the outcome, but our experience. An experience where we can choose to get closer to Him; to participate in His Will (His plans for my life); and to grow (in thought, words, and actions) in and through Him. These things cannot be accomplished when we are in a hurry, and we will miss the experience of a life that He designed us for. Not in ease but in fulfillment. Not in riches but in abundance. When we rush, we will overlook what He has for us, and we will misunderstand what He shows us. Be diligent in forward movement. Be slow (patient) with the forward progress. Be steady in the storms, challenges, and toils of the forward journey. All of this hand in hand with Him. The blessings are always down the road and can only be obtained by getting to them in our forward journey. Therefore, move forward with confidence in Him. Do not be discouraged in the headwinds for He will make sure that You will prevail but only in the forward progress of being slow and steady in your race.
