PERFECT STORM(S)
When mariners describe a tempest that no sailor can escape, they call it a “perfect storm.” Perfectly combined factors that amplify the factors from what they are on a stand alone basis. There are perfect storms that can be destructive. Circumstances, conditions, and decisions we have made that all collide at the same time creating havoc in our life, our psyche, and our very being (Acts 27:13-20 & Jonah 1:12-15). Then there are perfect storms that are productive. A life that has Jesus centered in it plugs us into divine power that take perfect storms the could have been destructive and make them instructive (for our growth and advancement in life) (James 1:2 & 1 Peter 4:12). A divine power that will take us into and through perfect storms to bring together a set of unlike-lies into our life that glorify Him; strengthens us in our faith on how much God loves us and is for us; and bring outcomes into, for, and with our lives that demonstrate that Jesus is alive and well and active in our life (Mark 4:35-41). A perfect storm with God will have perfect outcomes either in the present and/or for our future (Matthew 8:26-27).
