MULTIPLICATION

Our Heavenly Father is a God of multiplication.  Scripture is filled with examples of this including the fish and the bread for many (Mark 6:39-44); the gold coin in the fish (Matthew 17:24-27); and turning the water into wine (John 2:1-11).  What they have in common is that they start with a need; move into a process where He uses ordinary things and ordinary people; and it ends with a result of outcomes based on God’s favor of multiplication for all involved.

In our needs, we tend to turn to God for big needs or needs that are beyond our abilities.  However, God is at work 27/7/365.  Turn to Him in every detail of your life and your ordinary things become part of God’s extraordinary.  Be in God’s process as ordinary people and He will use us for extraordinary outcomes.  Do life with God in your daily living and ordinary things and us as ordinary people become part of His work effort of multiplication.  A holistic multiplication that transcends our self focus need(s).  A multiplication of our faith, our knowledge, our talents (time, treasure, and skills), and our ability to help others.  Be with God in your moment by moment living to have our daily (ordinary) living be part of His extraordinary story of Jesus - past, present and future.
