DISCOURAGEMENT
Discouragement is one the Enemy’s favorite tools in drawing us away from God. The Enemy is always on the prowl and many times we allow ourselves to be drawn to the Enemy’s discouragement tactic with our negative thinking making us easy prey. Other times discouragement shows up by the Enemy prompting natural things to come into our moments often in response to the good things God is doing in our daily living with the Enemy’s intent to either temper the effects of God’s goodness and/or make us think that the good thing(s) is not from God. The cross is our reminder that Jesus defeated the Enemy. We therefore need to push and persevere through the discouragement and let it not taint the work God is doing for, in and through us. Have your guard up (the armor of God) to stay in God’s goodness that is His work in the divine for results in the natural. Use the power of Jesus in us through His spoken Word (Scripture) to push back the Enemy’s discouragement and turn it into God’s encouragement. To push back against the Enemy’s fear and turn it into faith. To push back against the Enemy’s worry and turn it into worship of Jesus as our sustainer through this process. View the Enemy’s discouragement as a reminder that God’s goodness is at work and the Enemy is looking to thwart your progress in God’s goodness.
