DENIAL

One of our natural tendencies in our flesh nature is denial.  We will deny blame, reality, facts, etc if it does not fit our narrative or the results we are seeking.  At the core is our denial of Jesus of who He is (God); what He has done (died for our sins); and that He is coming again to judge (judgement for sin for those who have not been saved).  A denial that fits our narrative for us to be in charge and have only portions (of what we like) of Jesus woven into our story.  A denial that, by default, has us collaborating with the Enemy and the narrative he encourages for our separation from God.  We can flip that script, when we fully embrace Jesus, and live in a grace filled life where His life, death, and resurrection denies eternal death for us.  A script where He provides for a full and abundant life and we deny the Machiavellian ways of the enemy.  In Jesus, we deny our flesh nature by letting Holy Spirit guide us to His fruit (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) as the result of an accepted life to, in, and for Jesus and denial to, in, and for anything that is the strategy of the enemy.
